Quake 3 Demo 001

Quake3 is a well known game and it has been well accepted as a defacto benchmarking software for testing gaming performance. In this test, we benchmarked the Demo001 at 800x600x32 (Hi Quality) and discovered some interesting results.

The EPoX 4G4A+ scores a high of 248.3 which is very impressive as compared to the ref board of 242.2. In fact, we see that 845G's results is comparable to ASUS P4S533's when it operates in aggressive DDR333 mode.

We also tested the Q3 Demo001 using the integrated video and it scored 59.5 fps which might be just good enough for some 3D games. It is way higher than a MX200 but is slightly slower than a MX400.
