ECS L7VMM mATX mainboard Review (5)
cwloo 18 Jul 2002

3DMark 2001SE build 330

Conclusion

The ECS L7VMM is a very cost effective board which offers most of the feature for a typical office solution. Price around USD 65 / SGD 125 for a board with onboard VGA & Lan, the price is very attractive. Although it is a low cost solution, the board is very stable. We did not experience a single crash when doing 2 hrs continues run of benchmark.

I was disappointed with the 3D result of the KM266 chipset. Although the 3D benchmark is conduct with a faster processor, the 3D mark result is still very poor compare to SIS740. It seem like KM266 is not for any serious game either. CPU utilization is quite high too when watching DVD movie.

The system is a perfect match for your small bedroom if you pair it with a TV tuner card & LCD monitor. We tried it with a pinnacle TV tuner card and get good result with it.

Pros 好处:

  • Small form factor
  • Highly integrated with LAN, VGA
  • Low cost

Cons 坏处:

  • Poor 3D performance
  • No Diagnostic LEDs
