Benchmarking

We conduct the a number of tests on the setup with the following configuration :

Test System:

  • Intel Pentium 4 1.5G Engineering Sample
  • ECS L4S5A SiS645 mainboard running 100/166 async mode
  • IBM 15G 7200RPM ATA100 HD
  • AOPEN 40X CDROM
  • MSI Geforce4 Ti5700 Graphics card w/Detonator driver 27.20
  • ATi 8500 w/4.13.9017
  • Nanya DDR333 256MB DDR

3DMark2001SE

Lastly, we take a look at the benchmarks of 3DMark2001SE in the area of anti-aliasing. At default (no AA), 3Dmark2001SE scored 5929. The MSI scores 5895. The difference is around 0.5%. The gains of Chaintech 128MB over the 64MB card isn't that great after all.

The differences are again strongly visible when overclocked at 240/500. A 14% gain in performance is obtained if the card is overclocked.
