ASUS A7V8X KT400 Mainboard Review (1)

A7V8X motherboard, is Asustek's latest solution supporting Socket A processors and VIA’s KT400 chipset. Incorporating advanced technology such as AGP8X, DDR 400, Gigabit LAN and Serial ATA. Something special about this KT400 board is that it is the first KT400 board to incoporate both Gigabit LAN and Serial ATA technologies. Supporting Gigabit LAN networking technology from Broadcom Corp., the world’s leading provider of broadband solutions, the A7V8X enables high-speed data transfer at a staggering 1,000Mb/s. 

This board incorporates the Realtek 6-channel CODEC brings incredible sound quality. Onboard 1394/USB 2.0 interfaces further enable smooth audio/video data transfer between DV/MP3 players and user systems.  There is also a single channel of RAID supported by the Promise chipset on board.

This board seems to have most of the best feature set for multimedia - support up to 6 x USB 2.0 ports, 2 x 1394 ports. 6 ch audio, serial ATA, ATA-133 RAID
